The traditional weapon of China’s peasant armies, the Dadao, or big sword as it was called, was used in the 1930’s in the Sino-Japanese War with deadly effect. Its ability to be used with a single- or two-handed grip. It's tremendous slashing power with its weight-forward blade made it ideal in close-quarters combat. The originals did not have a scabbard. Hanwei supplies a simple carrying case for protection and safe transportation.
